Document Version Control

When sharing documentation between a team (internal or external), if any amendments are required, it is more practical to amend the latest version of the document. Collaborate can help with this.

The below instructions are best practice for document version control in Collaborate.

  1. Go to collaborate.

  2. Click on the required Site.

  3. Find the document to update.

  4. Click on the document.

  5. Press download.

  6. Open the downloaded document and make any amendments needed.

  7. Click on ‘New Version’.

  8. Select the latest saved version of the document which has been amended.

  9. Click on open.

  10. Update the title of the document to ‘v2’.

  11. Press save.

Once in a document, there is also a ‘view versions’ button on the right-hand side that gives a breakdown of the version updates, who updated them and when.
