Step 1 — Enable Evo Researcher for your organisation

Evo Researcher is modelled as an app on the platform. Enable it for your organisation via the Evo Platform Administrator tool.

Search for "Evo Researcher" in the Platform Administrator and enable it for your organisation.

Step 2 — Assign roles

Assign your user the User or Admin role. Researcher will then appear on the user's Evo navigation menu.

Role

Capabilities

User

Create projects, upload files, chat with AI, collaborate with team members

Admin

All user capabilities plus creating and managing templates, managing org-level settings

P-admin

Product admins can create and manage system templates and system skills. This role is intended for internal Access use and is not recommended for all org admins.

Step 3 — Configure an LLM key

Researcher requires an LLM key to power the AI chat. How this works depends on your environment:

  • Internal Access teams: When Researcher rolled out internally, a key got configured against the Access org.

  • Pre-production testing: If you want to test in preprod, you can obtain a test LLM key via the AI Gateway self-service tooling and configure it against your org.

  • Customer provisioning: The provisioning team will need to obtain an LLM key from the AI Platform team and configure it against the customer's org.

Step 4 — Join the community

Join the Evo Researcher Teams Channel to ask questions, give feedback and receive announcements.

For development discussion and contributions, join the Development Contributors Channel.

Step 5 — Start using Researcher

  • Follow the getting started guide to create your first project.

  • Explore templates to see pre-configured project setups available for your org.
