Before you can assign a custom security policy to your organisation's domain, you need to prove you own and control it. This article explains how to add your domain and complete the verification process using a DNS TXT record.
đNote: You'll need access to your organisation's DNS settings to complete this process. If you do not manage your DNS records, share the verification details with your IT team.
Add your domain
To get started, add your domain and generate a verification code by following the steps below:
Click your name in the top right-hand corner, then click My Account.
Click Domains in the left-hand panel.
Click Add Domain.
Enter the domain name for your organisation.
This is the part after the @ in your email address, for example, theaccessgroup.com.
Add any owners who should be able to own or control the domain.
Click Save changes.
A verification code appears on the Domains page. You need this in the next step.

Add the TXT record to your DNS
To verify your domain, you need to add a TXT record to your DNS zone file. Share the following details with your IT team, or add them directly yourself.
Field | Value |
Host | @ |
Type | TXT |
Value | The entire verification code from the Domains page |
đNote: Once you've added the TXT record, DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to fully propagate, though this is often much faster.
Check your verification status
Once the TXT record has propagated, return to the Domains page in My Account to confirm your verification status.
Your domain will move from the unverified list to the verified list once verification is successful.
If verification is unsuccessful:
Confirm the TXT record has been added to your DNS correctly.
Check that the change has fully propagated.
Return to the Domains page and check again.

What's next
Once your domain is verified, you and any other listed owners can assign a security policy to it. Users who sign in with that domain in their email address will then inherit the security policy.
