Once you have added a data source and analytics, you will need to create Data Connections in the top left.

  1. Within the data connections details section, complete the fields as below:

  • Parent connection:

    • Talent: 1 with a parent connection of TalentDashboard.

    • Applause:

      • 1 with a parent connection of ApplauseManagement.

      • 1 with a parent connection of ApplauseBusiness.

  • Name and Description:

    • Choose a name and description.

    • Name needs to be unique in analytics so it is recommended to include customer name and dashboard name.

  • Hostname: SQL Server instance in screenshots below.

  • Port: 1433.

  • Database: Warehouse database in screenshots below.

  • Username: UserName in screenshots below.

  • Password: Password in screenshots below.

  1. Click on Analytics to find the Username and Password. Press Show to see the password.

  2. You can then press Test Connection and you will get an alert saying if it succeeded.

  3. Now press Save, and Save on the next screen.
