What is Navigator?

Written by Denisa Arjoca

Introduction

Evo Navigator is your users' personalised command centre for Access products—an AI-powered hub that brings together quick actions, priority tasks, communications, and intelligent assistance into one intuitive interface.

It eliminates app-switching and puts everything you need at your fingertips. You accomplish more without remembering which product to use or where functionality lives.

Navigator appears as the leftmost tab in Evo—always visible, always accessible. It's available on both desktop (via browser) and mobile (via the Evo app).

📌Key positioning: Navigator is where your customers run their business. Every demo should start and end here.

How do you access Navigator?

  • On Desktop: Users log into Evo as normal. Navigator appears as a fixed tab on the left-hand side of the screen—it's always there, always accessible.

  • On Mobile: Users open the Evo mobile app. Navigator is the default home screen, with Quick Actions and priorities immediately visible.

  • Enablement: Navigator is available to all Evo users. There's nothing for customers to enable—it's a core part of the Evo experience, not an optional add-on.

The five core components

  1. Quick Actions

  2. Action Required

  3. Quick Panels

  4. Navigator Chat

  5. Quick Sections

Why Navigator matters

Navigator transforms how you interact with Access products.

Instead of remembering which product to open or where functionality lives, you accomplish tasks from one place. The result is less time navigating, more time doing.

Security and Permissions

  • Existing permissions are respected. Navigator doesn't grant access to anything users couldn't already see. If they can't view certain data in the underlying product, they can't view it through Navigator.

  • Cross-product visibility: Navigator surfaces information from multiple products, but only products the user is licensed for and has permissions to access.

  • Audit and compliance: All actions taken through Navigator are logged the same way as actions taken directly in products.

Compatibility with existing workflows

Navigator is an additional way to work, not a replacement. All existing bookmarks, workflows, and direct product access continue to work exactly as before.

Users can:

  • Use Navigator as your starting point for daily tasks.

  • Go directly to products when you need full functionality.

  • Mix both approaches depending on what you're doing.

First-time user experience

When you first open Navigator, you see a starting configuration based on your role (employee, manager, or administrator). You can then:

  1. Review Actions Required – see what needs attention.

  2. Try a Quick Action – experience how fast common tasks can be.

  3. Ask a question – use the Conversational Interface.

  4. Customise – pin different Quick Actions, configure Quick Panels.

Navigator is designed to be useful immediately with no training required.

Feedback mechanism

Navigator includes a feedback button (thumbs up/down) so you can report what's working and what isn't. This feedback flows back to product teams and influences development priorities.
