Access Applause Users and Administrators have the ability to undo any rewards that have associated to a shout or given as an adhoc amount.
β
To undo a reward Users/Admins:
Click the three dot menu, next to the reward record in either the My Feed or User feeds.
Select Undo. This opens a modal where the user must add a reason and confirm the undo.
Important
Users with a User Role applied can undo any points award they have given in error if:
The award was made in the last 24 hours.
Removing the points from the receiver/s will not take them into a negative points balance.
If either of these conditions are not met the users will see an error message telling them that the award cannot be undone and to contact their Applause Admin.
Users with an Administrator Role can undo any points award if:
The award was made in the last 7 days.
Removing the Points from the receiver/s will not take them into a negative points balance.
If either of these conditions are not met they will see an error message that explains why they cannot undo the Points.
Points Awards can be undone from My Feed (for the user who awarded the points) or a specific users feed (open a specific users feed by clicking their names in the company feed).
Once a Points Award has been undone, the details of the undone Award can be viewed by the parcel button on the company feed or by clicking the word here in the undo text on the award record in the feed.
Undoing a Points Award returns the points to the balance of the user who made the award.
Additional Notes
When undoing a Points Award made to multiple users (either against a shout or an adhoc award), either all awards are undone or none are. Therefore, every user must have enough points in their balance.
Shouts can only be awarded with points once, after an award has been undone the shout cannot have points awarded again.
When an Admin is undoing a Points Award, if the balance is too low, it may be that the user has redeemed a reward that is not complete. Cancelling this would increase the balance to possibly allow the original award to be undone. Obviously the judgement on whether this should be done would be up to the Admin as it would not be a very good experience for the original receiver of the points.
