Why your feedback matters

Your feedback helps us improve Copilot for everyone. When you let us know what's working well and what isn't, we can make Copilot more helpful, accurate, and valuable for your daily work.

How to provide feedback

When a response isn't quite right

If Copilot gives you a response that doesn't meet your needs, you'll see a thumbs down button below the response. Click it to let us know.

Adding detail to your feedback

After clicking thumbs down, you'll have the opportunity to tell us more about what went wrong. This written feedback is incredibly valuable as it helps us understand:

  • What you were trying to achieve

  • Why the response didn't work for you

  • How we might improve similar responses in future

You don't have to write feedback, but even a brief note helps us make Copilot better.

What happens to your feedback

Your feedback is reviewed by our team and used to improve Copilot's performance. We look for patterns in feedback to identify areas where Copilot can be enhanced.

We take your feedback seriously and use it to inform ongoing development and improvements.

Other ways to help Copilot improve

Be specific in your questions

The more specific your question, the better Copilot can respond. If you get an unclear answer, try rephrasing your question with more detail.

Try different approaches

If a response isn't quite right, try asking the question in a different way. This helps you get better results and also helps us understand how people naturally phrase different types of questions.

Share what works

Whilst we focus on negative feedback here, we also value knowing what works well. If Copilot gives you particularly helpful responses, that's worth noting too.
