Create a performance review

Performance reviews are a more formal review that you can use in addition to check-ins where required, such as for annual appraisals.

By default, performance reviews are turned off. As an admin, you can see the performance review admin page where you can create and prepare performance reviews, but employees can't see the performance review page in the My Progress area.

Enable performance reviews

To enable the performance reviews, follow the steps below:

  1. Click Settings, then click Initial Setup.

  2. Click the Performance Reviews tab.

  3. Click Turn On Performance Reviews.

  4. Click Save.

Your employees can now see Performance Reviews in My Progress.

Create a performance review

The performance reviews follow a question-and-answer format. As an admin, you set the questions when you create the review. The employees or managers then answer the questions to complete the review.

To create a performance review, follow the steps below:

  1. Click Performance Reviews, then click Create New Review.

  2. Add a title for the performance review, then click Next Step.

  3. Choose who needs to fill out the review.

    • Select one or more tags, employees with these tags receive the review.

    • To select everyone, leave it blank.

  4. To see a list of who the review is assigned to, click View People.

  5. Add launch and close dates.

    • Employees can't see the performance review until the launch date.

    • If you don't select a launch date, the performance review saves as draft.

    • Close date is the deadline for employees to complete the review by.

    • Employees can complete reviews after the close date, they show as overdue until completed.

  6. Click Next Step.

  7. Add a question title and optional question help text.

  8. Select the type of answer required.

    • Text box.

    • Rating scale (1-5).

    • Both.

  9. Click Save Question.

    • You can create more questions in the same way.

    • To edit and reorder the questions, use the Review Questions section.

  10. Click Finish.

You can edit performance reviews up until their launch date.
