When your application is ready, you can publish it directly into the Evo platform.
Publishing makes your application available to users as a fully integrated part of Access Evo. Each time you publish, a version number is generated so you can track changes over time.
Before you publish
Before publishing, make sure you have reviewed your application in the live preview and are happy with how it looks and behaves. Interact with it directly in the preview panel - clicking menus, opening forms, and entering information - to check everything works as expected.
đ¤ Tip: Use Ask mode in the chat interface to ask questions about how parts of your application work before deciding it is ready to publish.
Opening the Publish tab
Select the Publish tab in the right-hand panel of your project to begin the publishing process.
Filling in the application details
Before publishing, you need to provide three pieces of information about your application:
Friendly name - The display name users will see in Evo. Choose something clear and descriptive so users know what the application does at a glance.
Short name - A compact identifier for the application. This is used internally within the platform.
Description - A brief description of what the application does. This helps users understand the purpose of the application when they encounter it in Evo.
Choosing where your application appears
Select the Evo surfaces where you want your application to be available. You can choose one or more of the following:

Evo Mobile | Makes the application available in the Evo mobile app. |
Navigator AI Chat | Makes the application accessible from AI chat in Evo Navigator. |
Evo Researcher | Makes the application available in Evo Researcher. |
Publishing
Once you have filled in the application details and chosen where it should appear, select Publish. Publishing takes a moment while Evo deploys the application.
When complete, a confirmation shows the application name and version number.
Republishing after changes
After making further changes to your application, return to the Publish tab and select Republish. Each successful republish increments the version number automatically, so you always have a clear record of which version is live.
đ Note: Republishing replaces the previously published version of your application. Users will see the updated version the next time they access it.
Version history
Every publish and republish generates a version number. You can view the version history of your application from the branch commit history in the right-hand panel, which also lets you return to any previous state of your application if needed.
