Get familiar with Analytics
A powerful and flexible analytics tool that pulls data from all your Access software. It allows you to view, build and publish insights and dashboards to track performance. Watch this short video to get an overview to understand how to use the Insights (key metrics, charts or graphs) and Dashboards (collections of Insights) including filtering the data.
Adding your own admin access
To ensure that your data is kept secure, we have made no assumptions about who should have access to your Analytics data from your organisation.
We want to make sure that you, as the Access Workspace Administrator, are making these important decisions. It's vital that you give yourself access to start getting the benefits of Access Analytics, as we have not done this for you.
Analytics Dashboards
These pre-configured dashboards allow instant access to the most requested Analytics from your software products. Functionally, each dashboard works in the same way. The more Access software products you have, the more dashboards you will see.
As Administrator you decide which colleagues can access these dashboards. Aim to provide this as widely as possible throughout your organisation. But we’ll ask your permission beforehand so you can control who sees certain information. Some data may be sensitive.
You'll need to navigate to Analytics and update security roles, specifying exactly what data your staff can see.
How to filter Insights
Filtering Insights allows you to get to the crux of the information you need. Filters are applied to every Insight in a Dashboard.
You can click into a specific data point within an Insight and then choose to Apply Filter...
... or you can simply apply a filter to a dashboard by clicking the funnel symbol at the top right.
How to export Insights
If you have an important presentation where you need to showcase the data, you can export the reports/charts directly from Analytics. To do this, click on the 3 dots on the Insight and select download.
How to drill down into Insights
Do you want to have a closer look at the data from a specific graph? You can drill into specific data points for more detail..
Analytics Builder
You may wish to create your own dashboards or reports. This simple-to-use tool lets you create custom analytics. Anyone with permission can see the dashboards make use of this feature.
How to give colleagues Designer permissions
