Evo Researcher includes a Chat feature that lets you have AI-powered conversations directly within the Evo platform. Whether you need a quick answer to a one-off question, want to summarise a document, or need to draft a piece of content, Chat gives you a fast and flexible way to work with AI without setting up a full project workspace.
This article explains what Chat is, how to start one, and what you can do within it. It also covers how Chat differs from a Project, and when you might want to convert one into the other.
What is a Chat?
A Chat is a lightweight, single-user conversation you can start directly in Evo Researcher. It is designed for quick, one-off questions or tasks where you do not need the full capabilities of a Project workspace. When you open a Chat, you get a clean message interface where you can type a question or instruction and receive an AI-generated response immediately.
Chats are personal — only you can see them. They are ideal for tasks such as:
Asking a quick question and getting an immediate answer.
Summarising a document you have to hand.
Drafting a short piece of text, such as an email or a meeting agenda.
Exploring an idea before committing it to a longer piece of work.
Because Chats are designed to be lightweight, they have some limitations compared to Projects. If your work grows beyond a quick question, you can convert the Chat into a Project at any point.
