Projects explained

Written by Denisa Arjoca

Projects are persistent, configurable workspaces in Evo Researcher that bring together your conversations, uploaded files, connectors, skills, and generated outputs in one place.

Unlike single chats, a project keeps all of its context available across every conversation you have within it, so you never need to re-explain your work or re-upload your files.

Projects vs chats

Chats are lightweight, single-user conversations suited to quick, one-off questions. They do not support file uploads that persist across conversations, collaborators, or configuration changes mid-session.

Projects are full workspaces. They support:

  • File uploads that are available to every conversation within the project.

  • Connectors that give the AI access to live data.

  • Skills that shape how the AI behaves.

  • Collaborators who can work alongside you.

  • Multiple conversations, all sharing the same context.

If you start in a chat and decide you need more, you can convert it to a project at any point. Select the three-dot menu next to the chat title in the left-hand navigation and select Convert to project.
